2. What you should choose IMAP/ POP?
IMAP: The IMAP Protocol allows access to mailbox from many different devices. This is possible because the data is stored on a server, instead of a local machine/ computer of the user. When a device accesses the e-mail account, the server will pull the data (e-mails) for the device.
If you make changes to the mailbox, whether deleting some e-mails, or sending a new e-mail, etc. the new update will be uploaded to the server. The e-mails are synced across devices. The changes you make to your mailbox on one of the devices that you are using, the change will be visible on the other devices where the mailbox is connected to.
Therefore, if you are using a mailbox on multiple devices (mobile + tablet + desktop/ laptop), it is recommended to use IMAP.
IMAP PORTS: 993 (secured) or 143 (non-secured)
POP: The content (e-mails & settings of the mailbox) are stored on a single local machine (your device).
POP works well for in the cases where you are using just one device. The majority of mailboxes using the POP protocol are stored locally. Only incoming e-mails are stored on the server. By default, once the mailbox is accessed from another device, the server immediately hands the new e-mails over and deletes those e-mails on the hand of the server. This means that the only copy of the new e-mail will be available on the device where it was injected.
If another device accesses the mailbox, it won't have access to the e-mail that was downloaded on the previous device.
POP PORTS: 995 (secured) or 110 (non-secured)
3. Ports for the Outgoing Server / SMTP Server
